Seminar on “Renewable Power to X – Basic Green Hydrogen"

In our college organized by Seminar on “Renewable Power to X – Basic Green Hydrogen" on 28-11-2024 in Smart Class Room II from 02.00 PM to 03.00 PM. The Principal Dr. C. Emmy Prema, Resource Person Mr. Dinesh Kumar S, Senior Renewable Consultant, Head of Department Mr. S. Japdrew, Programme Coordinator Mr. A. L. Prejeesh and Student Coordinator Mr. N. Nishanth (IV Mech) brightened the dais. Around 55 students participated in the event. The Principal of the College Dr. C. Emmy Prema gave to honor our guest with a memento and the felicitation address. She also explained about Renewable Energy. Mr. Gershom Thomas J (IV Mech) introduce the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest provided a brief overview of the Renewable Power to X – Basic Green Hydrogen.

One day workshop on “3D vision for Mechanical Minds"

In our Department organized the One day workshop on “3D vision for Mechanical Minds" on 14-11-2024 in Department Seminar Hall from 09.00 AM to 04.00 PM. The Principal Dr. C. Emmy Prema, Resource Person Ms. R.L Lekha, Technical head, CadPoint, Marthandam, Head of The Department Mr. S. Japdrew, Programme Coordinator Mr. A. Ajish and Student Coordinator Mr. J. Gershom Thomas (IV MECH) brightened the dais. Around 54 students participated in the event. The Chief Guest Ms. R.L Lekha, (Technical head, CadPoint, Marthandam) addressed the students by indicating role that 3D vision for Mechanical Minds.

WORKSHOP ON WAY TO FUTURISTIC WORLD - 2024

On September 5, 2024, the Department of Mechanical Engineering hosted a workshop titled “Way to Futuristic World”, featuring a variety of engaging activities. The event began with a warm welcome from Mr. D.Ginu, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering. Principal Dr. C. Emmy Prema then delivered a felicitation address, highlighting the significance of the program and discussing job opportunities for mechanical engineers in the government sector. Following this, J.Berlin, a third-year Mechanical Engineering student, introduced the chief guest, Mr. J. Sivakumar. Mr.R.Monikandan, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering, honored Mr. J. Sivakumar with a shawl, while Dr. C. Emmy Prema presented him with a momento.

VALUE ADDED COURSE ON "DESIGN THINKING AND PRODUCT DESIGN"

The course was inaugurated on 14/10/2024 at 09.00 a.m. with a prayer song by the college choir followed by welcome address delivered by Mr.M. Amala prabin Ap/MECH. The session was about the Introduction to DESIGN THINKING AND PRODUCT DESIGN. The IInd Year, IIIrd Year & IVth Year Mechanical engineering students participated in this course and gained knowledge engineering technique and science in both theoretically and practically. Finally the event was concluded by conducting assessment and collecting feedback form from students on 18/10/2024.

National Youth Day Celebration

National Youth Day Celebration on 12-01-2024 in seminal hall form 11.00 AM to 12.30 PM. Principal Dr. C. Emmy Prema, Chief Guest Dr. A. Jerin Jose, Director of Physical Education, Lekshmipuram College of Arts and Science, Neyyoor, IIC President Mr. C. M. Edwin Thurai, IIC Convenor Ms. J. Sophia Jone, Programme Coordinator Mr. A. Ajish and Student Coordinator Ms. K.R. Ketelyn (I CSE) brightened the dais. Around 69 students participated in the event. The function started with Welcome Address delivered by Ms. K.R. Ketelyn (I CSE). The Principal of the College Dr. C. Emmy Prema gave the felicitation address. She also explained about the importance of National Youth Day. The Student of Ms. A.K Kowsalya Devi (I CSE) introduced the Chief Guest of Dr. A. Jerin Jose. The Principal presented a memento to the Chief Guest as a token of love. The Chief Guest addressed the students and role that youth play in shaping the future of our global society. The session was closed after the Vote of Thanks by the student of Ms. S.A Babisha (I CSE).

VALUE ADDED COURSE (ENGINEERING TECHNIQUE AND SCIENCE)

Mr. R. Monikanda Kumar, Assistant Professor, Bethlahem Institute of Engineering delivered Value Added Course “Engineering Technique and Science” on 27/11/23 for 2nd year mechanical engineering students. He spoke about the fundamentals of “Industry 4.0” and techniques to implement the same. He also briefed about the various phases of the implementation and the challenges faced. Mr. R. Monikanda Kumar discussed the real-time case study of automating a robot cell in Turbocam and the associated smart technologies. He explained how data is captured and presented through the cloud across the organization. He also gave a glimpse of big data analytics.

MOTIVATIONAL TALK ON HOW PLANNING CHANGE YOUR CAREER

The Mechanical Engineering department of Bethlahem Institute of Engineering has organized a Motivational Program on “How Planning Change Your Career” on 7th September, 2023. This motivational program laid a path to get more informations about how to make our planning with the help of softwares. The motivational program is inaugurated on 7th September, 2023 at 2.00pm. Mr. M. S. Siga Selvin (HoD , Mech) welcomed all the guests and participants. Inaugural remarks were given by Dr. C. Emmy Prema, (Principal) and gave suggestions for the students to make effective automotive industry. Then the resource person Mr. Sivakumar, Mechanical Trainer, CAD DESK delivers an effective speech on “How planning change your career”.

THE ROLE OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING IN FUTURE MOBILITY AND INFRASTRUCTURE IN INDIAN AUTOMATIVE INDUSTRY

The Mechanical Engineering department of Bethlahem Institute of Engineering has organized a Guest Lecture on “Role of Mechanical Engineering in Future and infrastructure in Indian Automotive Industry” on 31st July, 2023. This guest lecture laid a path to get more information about the various role of mechanical engineers in future and the way to get innovative ideas about the functions of automotive industry and the role of mechanical engineers in future mobility and infrastructure in indian automotive industry. Mechanical engineers are responsible for the design, planning and execution of new automotive components. Mechanical engineers research and develop new designs and technologies for existing or new vehicles.

GUEST LECTURE ON ELECTRIC VEHICLE TECHNOLOGY

The Mechanical Engineering department of Bethlahem Institute of Engineering has organized a Guest Lecture on “Electric Vehicle Technology” on 28th July, 2023. The Electric Vehicles and its architecture brought together experts, industry leaders, and enthusiasts in the field of electric mobility to discuss the latest advancements in electric vehicle technology and their underlying architectures. The event aimed to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange to accelerate the transition towards sustainable transportation. Welcome address - Mr. S. Siga Selvin (HoD/Mech). A heart-warming welcome remark was delivered by Dr. Rangu Seshu Kumar, lead Engineer presented the following deliberations. What is Hybrid Electric vehicles? Different types HEVEV Future of EV Architecture Innovations: Powering the Future of EVs Sustainable Materials for EV Manufacturing Safety and Regulations in EV Design Students expressed their gratitude towards the resource person for knowledge which he shared. This lecture is interesting for the students and faculty members. 50 students attended the guest lecture and ignited themselves.

SAE Awareness Programme

This event of “SAE Awareness Programme” was organized by the Mechanical Engineering, held on 28th April 2023, at 2.30pm in our Bethlehem Institute of Engineering. It contains all the main information about each event including the number of students and staffs in the event, date & time of the event, about the event and motive of the event. The Head of the department of Mechanical Engineering Mr. S. Siga Selvin, M.E., (Ph.D) Welcomed everyone. Mechanical Student P. Akash Introduce the chief Guest. The Resource Person Mr. S. Shanmugam, IAS (Founder Director, Design Desk (India) Pvt Ltd, Chennai) of the programme enlightened the importance of Self Driving Car. It is vital that students to know about the self-driving car. He explains detailed about the working of self-driving car and how it detects the traffic signals and sense the signals.

Workshop on “Design new workshop using Autodesk Fusion 360”

The workshop on “Design new workshop using Autodesk Fusion 360” was organized by ICT ACADEMY and Department of Mechanical Engineering, Bethlahem Institute of Engineering on 24-02-2023. The presentation was delivered by Mr. Kranthi, Deputy Manager - Design Team, Training & Research and Mr. V. Murugavel, Relationship Manager, ICT academy, Chennai. Around 70 students from Mechanical department, and faculty members participated in the workshop.

Workshop on "AutoCAD"

Mr. G Byju kumar, Managing Director - Lines and Circles training services (P) LTD Trivandrum, was the resource person. On 2/11/2023 we conducted the workshop. The program started with prayer song. The Head of the Department Prof. Mr. Moses C Thurai welcome the gathering. The Principal Dr. C Emmy Prema delivered the inaugural address. Mr. Spanto Stephen Mechanical gave a motivational talk to the students and discussed about the need of AutoCAD. He talked about hard work, time management, being focused and character of a person to succeed in life. It was really thought provoking and the students gave positive feedback. Finally Prof. Ginu gave vote of thanks.
