The Bethlahem Institute of Engineering is located on a sprawling 7.5 acre eco-friendly serene campus at Nadutheri, a hamlet which it is just 1 km from the Karungal bus station on the Karungal-Colachel highway. It is 23 kms from Nagercoil, the headquarters of Kanyakumari district and 52 kms from Trivandrum, the capital of Kerala state. The Institute can be reached by bus via Colachel and Thuckalay / Marthandam. The nearest railway station is Kuzhithurai West.

The college came into being in 2008, duly sanctioned under the self financing scheme under the Government of Tamilnadu. Over the past sixteen years, the college has grown and expanded in a phenomenal way. Today it offers 7 undergraduate courses and 5 post graduate courses and the college is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai & Anna University, Tirunelveli. It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi.

A One Day Seminar on "Desired Quality Features in HEIs" was conducted on 5th April 2025 by the Internal Quality Assurance cell, aiming to enhance awareness and understanding of quality benchmarks essential for the growth and sustenance of excellence in Higher Education Institutions. The chief guest Prof. B. William Dharma Raja, Chairman, School of Education; Director, IQAC/NAAC; and Dean in Charge, College Development Council, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli stressed the need for continuous internal quality assurance mechanisms and provided deep insights into the accreditation framework, institutional best practices, and the need for strategic planning in HEIs. The speaker encouraged institutions to adopt innovative pedagogical approaches. The session was informative, and oriented towards practical implementation of quality initiatives. Faculty members and administrators from various institutions engaged enthusiastically in exploring the parameters of quality in HEIs.

Revised Bloom's Taxonomy is an updated version of the original Bloom's Taxonomy, which is a framework used to classify educational learning objectives into levels of complexity and specificity. This Workshop on RBT for fresh teachers focused on enhancing the understanding and application of RBT among faculty members. The program commenced with a prayer led by Dr S.A. Praylin Selva Blessy,IQAC Coordinator, followed by a welcome speech delivered by the Event Coordinator Ms V.Monisha AP/Civil. The Principal Dr C.Emmy Prema provided the the felicitation. The Resource Person, Dr S.Jerald Jeba Kumar highlighted the key aspects of Revised Bloom’s Taxanomy, the overview of Bloom’s Taxanomy and its revision, the six cognitive levels in RBT and use of RBT in assessment. A Placement drive was conducted on 26-03-2025 for CIVIL final year students from company BDX BIM- Nagercoil totally 12 students attended the drive out of which 3 students were selected and provided with offer letters

A Certificate Program for Third year CSE students was scheduled from 12.03.2025 to 25.03.2025. To receive the course completion certificate, participants must achieve at least 75% attendance and score a minimum of 50 marks in the final assessment. Students were provided with a Sound Knowledge in UI & UX and they were taught to develop simple UI/UX applications along with Web pages using ASP.NET. and How to learn about image upload in ASP.NET core MVC.

In a(FOOD FEST 2025) culturally diverse country such as India which has a rich culinary heritage and eating meals together is a part of social traditions followed since generations. With this background in mind and in order to bring motivate students to engage and culinary arts and share the food cooked by them with the teachers and the students of the College, Bethlahem Institute of engineering organized Food Festival on 19/03/2025. The fest was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Jayaseelan, Dr. C. Emmy Prema, Principal and Er.T.Isan, Director. The event was successfully coordinated with the help of Mr.Japdrew S; HOD MECH and Ms.Janani M AP/CSE Our Guest Rev.Fr. Jayaseelan facilitated our program by cutting the ribbon at the start. Total of 20 stalls were put up. Enthusiasm and Passion were impeccable throughout the event. The menu for the fest included snacks, main course, desserts, drinks and shakes which was totally prepared by the students of BIoE. Food fest was completed successfully. It created a good impact on the students where they learned to work in team and other various aspects involved in the management of a food processing business

To enhance knowledge in this domain, a one-day workshop on "Building Reliable Hardware: Crimping Techniques & CPU Insights" was organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering on 13th March 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The event saw the enthusiastic participation of students from the ECE department of Bethlehem Institute of Engineering (BIoE). The workshop commenced with a warm welcome by G.Anameega, a second-year ECE student. The inaugural address was delivered by Dr. C. Emmy Prema, Principal of BIoE, highlighting the importance of hardware stability and efficient electronic connections.

The course was Started on 12-03-2025 at about 09.00 a.m. The session was about the STAAD Pro. The Final Year Civil students participated in this course and gained knowledge about Designing and Analyzing a multi storied building reinforcement details. The first session was a theory session about STAAD Pro. Next the students practice the models in system. Finally the event was concluded by conducting assessment and collecting feedback form from the students on 21-03-2025

Value added course on Website Blog Design was conducted for the II-year IT students from 12.03.2025 to 21.03.2025. On March 12, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., the department choir led a prayer before Ms.Ebi T Prabha AP/IT, gave 68 the welcoming speech to kick off the course. The resource person was Ms. Ashika R Java Developer Feather Softwares, She provided insights into emerging trends and developments in the WEBSITE BLOG DESIGN, such as upcoming features in new releases, community initiatives, and industry adoption pattern. Students were specially trained on how to apply these skills in practical projects, preparing them for careers in WEBSITE BLOGDESIGN , product design, and related fields.

On the auspicious occasion of International Women’s Day, POSH CELL of BIoE organized the Women's Day Celebration on March 10, 2025 at Smart Class-II from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM. The event was graced by the Principal, Dr. C. Emmy Prema, the Chief Guest Dr. Christable Reena, and the Event Coordinators Ms. Janani M and Ms. A. Mary Jeya Shiniha, who brightened the dais. Around 200 students and 30 staff members participated in the event. The function began with a prayer song followed by the Welcome Address delivered by Ms. Babin Nivya, a student of M.E. The Director, Shri E.Ishan declared the graduation day open. FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME- CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAM ON RESEARCH AND PROFESSIONAL INTEGRITY- Event started off with a welcome speech delivered by the Principal, Dr. C. Emmy Prema. The Dean, Dr. S. Jerald Jeba Kumar, graced the occasion with the inaugural address, which was followed by the felicitation of the Director, Er. T. Isan. The session was conducted by Dr. P. Arockia Jansi Rani, Associate Professor of CSE at M. S. University. She provided an in-depth exploration of the concepts of research and professional integrity. She emphasized their critical role in academic and professional growth.

The singing competition(MEN’S) was held on December 18th, 2024. The event became a grand success as it attracted a large number of participants. The best student was awarded by the Principal.

The session will be handled by Mrs. Anugirba, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science And Engineering .IIC Vice President Dr. R.S. Abina Shiny, IIC Convenor Ms. J. Sophia Jone, IIC President Mr. A. Ajish and Student Coordinator brightened the dais. Around 140 students participated in the event. This programme aims to spread awareness over the harmful effects of drug addiction and abuse. The day is useful in educating people about drug addiction disorders. The available medical treatments and the importance of early intervention and support for drug addiction. In our college ADC (Anti-Drug Club) and NSS organized the Awareness to Action with AntiDrug Campaign on 04-12-2024 in smart Class - 2 from 03.00 PM to 04.00 PM. The Principal Dr. C. Our college's Eco club is a student organization dedicated to enhancing the environment. Each student receives a plant slap as a birthday present in an effort to spread awareness, cut down on pollution, and plant trees.

The Beth Carol Fest 2K24, a Christmas Carol Singing Competition organized by Bethlahem Group of Institutions, took place on December 8, 2024, at 3:00 PM in the Bethlahem Institute of Engineering auditorium. The competition featured two categories: school choir teams and a mixed group of college teams, private teams, and church choirs. A total of 38 teams participated. Generous prize amounts were awarded, with Rs. 20,000, Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 5,000 for the first, second and third places, respectively, along with trophies. Additionally, five consolation prizes were given in each category.

The table tennis competition, held on November 30, 2024, was a thrilling and energetic event that drew active participation from students. The event provided an excellent platform for students to exhibit their talent, improve their game, and celebrate the joy of sportsmanship. A seminar on “Renewable Power to X – Basic Green Hydrogen” was conducted on 28th November 2024 in Smart Classroom II, from 02:00 PM to 03:00 PM. The event saw the participation of around 55 students. The program began with a welcome address by Mr. Shahanshad (II MECH). The Principal, Dr. C. Emmy Prema, honored the guest with a memento and delivered the felicitation address and elaborated the significance of renewable energy.

The NSS organized the National Constitution Day Celebration on November 26, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with the participation of around 130 students. The event commenced with a welcome address by Ms. Jeffiya Y (I CSE AI & ML). The Principal delivered the felicitation address and Ms. Ajishlin S. Y (I ECE) introduced the Chief Guest, Adv. T. Arul Dhas, Commissioner of Oaths and Mental Health Counsellor. The speaker spoke about the vital role youth play in shaping the future of our society, inspiring students to actively engage in promoting democratic values. The students then took a pledge, reaffirming their commitment to uphold the principles of the Constitution. The International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women was organized by the POSH Cell on 25-11-2024 at Bethlahem Institute of Engineering. The program began with a prayer. Ms. Aneesha (IV/ECE) delivered the welcome address and gave a brief introduction about the Chief Guest. The presidential address was delivered by the Principal, Dr. C. Emmy Prema. The talk on the elimination of violence against women was chaired by Adv. L. Jothi Mani, BA., BL., Advocate, Eraniel Court and Adv. T. Arul Dhas, Commissioner of Oaths and Mental Health Counsellor. They explained that violence against women continues to be an obstacle to achieving equality, development, peace and the fulfilment of women's and girls' human rights. They also raised awareness about related laws which is useful to the students. On November 22, 2024, a placement drive for final-year MECH, ECE, and EEE students was held. Of the 71 students who attended the recruitment drive, 47 were chosen and given offer letters by the three employing organizations (SRI SAI INDUSTRIES, MODPRO, and MISTUBA).

On November 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., a program was conducted for all third year students on career guidance on Career Paths in SEO and Digital Marketing. The session was conducted by Placement and Training Department. The program started with the welcome address by Ms. Aneesha, IV year ECE followed by the Felicitation address by Dr. C. Emmy Prema, Principal. Mr. Zammy Zaif’s speech was a huge success, accomplishing its goals of career guidance on career paths in SEO and digital marketing and creating a lasting impression. On a field trip, the students were brought to the Sun Solar Power Centre at Kanjiracode.They learned about solar power, which has become a clean and effective source of electricity in recent years. Solar home systems, which seek to give families sustainable electricity, are one of the main uses of solar energy. The importance of solar panels was explained in detail to the students.A basic explanation of how solar panels, commonly referred to as photovoltaic (PV) panels, use sunlight to create power was given to them.

The Institution Innovation Council (IIC) organized the National Entrepreneurship Day Celebration on November 21, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, with around 80 enthusiastic students in attendance. The event began with a warm welcome address by Mr. Adhisankar S. S. (III CIVIL), who set the tone for the occasion. The Principal, Dr. C. Emmy Prema, delivered the felicitation address and highlighted the significance of Entrepreneurship Day and its role in fostering innovation and self-reliance among students. On November 22, 2024, the Bethlahem Institute of Engineering facilitated the distribution of Form 6 for new voters to its students. This initiative aligns with the recent policy changes introduced by the Election Commission of India, which are designed to boost voter registration among young people. Eighteen-year-olds can pre-register to vote, simplifying the process and encouraging their participation in elections. This was initiated to removes barriers in young voters, helping them r to vote on Election Day. By motivating youth to engage in their communities, it fosters civic responsibility and aims to increase voter turnout, ensuring that young voices are heard in democracy. The registration process needs important personal details, age checks, and proof of address. Forms will be accessible all through November, giving students enough time to finish their registration before the election deadlines

A seminar was organized by the Department of EEE on 21st November 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The chief guest, Mr. Siva Kumar J, delivered a session on the topic “Piping Design with Automated Code Compliance Checks”. He emphasised the importance of piping design in various industries and how automated code compliance checks play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency and regulatory adherence in piping systems.

The Essay Writing (English) competition was held on November 21st, 2024, and was deemed a grand success. The students actively participated, and their creativity and writing skills, made the event both engaging and inspiring for all involved.

On November 18, 2024 at 02:00 p.m., a program was conducted for all second year students about the Importance of Leadership in career. The session was conducted by Placement and Training Department. The program started with the welcome address by Ms. Caroline Blessy, Placement Co-Ordinator followed by the Felicitation address by Dr. C. Emmy Prema, Principal. The speaker Mr. Ajay Jose had an interactive session with the students Mr. Ajay Jose, the speaker, engaged the students in an interactive session by setting forward-looking objectives regarding the significance of leadership and teaching them how to move from achieving outcomes to empowering and enabling others to achieve success via leadership. Mr. Ajin of II year ECE delivered a formal vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the speaker for his speech.

The Awareness program on the "Police Akka Scheme," organized by the POSH Cell, was conducted on 19/11/2024 at Smart Class II. The event began with a warm welcome address by Mrs. Abitha Rose P (AP/IT). The Principal, Dr. C. Emmy Prema delivered the felicitation address The talk on the Police Akka Scheme was chaired by Mr. C. Benson, Sub Inspector of Police, Karungal Police Station. He discussed the scheme's goals and how it creates a supportive environment for girls by providing them with a platform to share their concerns with senior female police officers. He also recommended reporting any issues to the female head constable, Mrs. Sri Devi. The program was successfully concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Ms. Ashika ,IV year IT, to the resource person and all the participants.

Mr. Sugad Singh B, the chief guest, led this session and gave lectures on(A WORKSHOP ON “ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND INNOVATON” ) a variety of topics related to industry trends and upcoming technology. In order to use creativity and strategic thinking to spot possibilities, create ground-breaking solutions, and promote long-term company success, about 31 students and 9 faculty members took part. Concentrate on creating and overseeing businesses that provide value through cutting-edge goods, services, or procedures while encouraging flexibility and a continual development mindset.

A Seminar on “Emerging Technology in IT and Non-IT” was organized by the Department of Information Technology at Smart Class II on 15th November 2024. The session began with a warm welcome by Ms. D.V. Viji Nirmala, Assistant Professor of IT, who introduced the seminar and its objectives to the attendees. The technical talk was led by Mr. Vinoth Jose Raj E, CEO of Dream Tech Training & Service, Vian Corp Solutions. He explained the current trends in technology, as well as the preparation strategies, ideologies and presentation procedures involved in leveraging these technologies for success. The seminar was successfully concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Ms. Amirthalakshmi, a third-year IT 26 student, expressing gratitude to the resource person and participants for their contributions and engagement.

A one-day workshop on “Adobe Photoshop” was organized by the Department of Information Technology at the Mobile Application Development Center on 19th November 2024. The workshop aimed to equip students with essential skills in image editing and design. The session began with an introduction to the Photoshop interface by Mr. Abinesh, a Senior Graphic Designer at Feather Softwares, who highlighted the key tools and panels essential for image editing. Following that, The workshop successfully enhanced the students' creative and professional capabilities, enabling them to explore the potential of Photoshop in their design work. An AIDS Awareness program was organized by the RRC on 15th November 2024 at 10 a.m. Ms. N. Lizy Santhi, ICTC Counselor from the Primary Health Center, Killiyoor, served as the resource person. The program began with a warm welcome by Ms. Anamika A.B. from I year CSE, who introduced the resource person and the objectives of the session. Dr. C. On November 14, 2024, a session titled "Innovative Track to Future Design with AI" was held. The workshop was led by the resource person, Ms. Joslin Sowmi, Technical Manager at Cad Point, Marthandam, and covered advanced drafting methods as well as the ways AI is changing design processes

On November 12, 2024 at 02:00 p.m., a career counselling program was conducted for all Final year students on the topic Exploring Future Technologies & Emerging Career Paths in Engineering. The session was conducted by Placement and Training Department. Every year on November 11, National Education Day is observed to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, On November 11, 2024, n "National Education Day" was celebrated in Smart Class Room II from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. The dais was made brighter by the following: IIC Convener Mr. A. Ajish, Program Coordinator Mr. A. L. Prejeesh, Vice Principal, Bethlahem College of Education, Karungal, Resource Person Dr. N. R. Geetha, and Principal Dr. C. Emmy Prema. Approximately 121 students took part in the activity.Mr. J. Jershom Thomas (IVMECH) gave the welcome address to kick off the event. Smart India Hackathon is the environment to develop new ideas. It is most efficient in problem-solving and is the most suitable place for developing new ideas involving coding, software solutions, hardware and technology. To motivate the students to get participated in Smart India Hackathon, the Institution Innovation Council of Bethlahem Institute of Engineering organized a one-day internal hackathon for all department students. The Chief guest of this event was Dr. M.S.Rimal Issac. This event Helped students develop essential professional skills such as project management, communication, and presentation. Inspire students to engage in research activities and explore new areas of interest. These objectives aim to make the event a platform for celebrating innovation and fostering a culture of creativity and progress.

A Value-Added Course on Graphic Designing was conducted for the secondyear CSE students from 3rd October 2024 to 16th October 2024. The course began with an inauguration ceremony on October 3, 2024, at 10:00 AM. The resource person, Mr. Arun Pradeesh G S, Managing Director of Smartpix Creative Design Hub, introduced the students to the fundamentals of Graphic Designing. Throughout the course, students were empowered to express their creativity, enhance communication and develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The program also helped them build a professional portfolio to showcase their design work. The course concluded on 16th October 2024 with assessments and the collection of feedback forms from the participants. Certificates were awarded to students based on their assessment results.

At 9:00 a.m. on October 14, 2024, the VALUE ADDED COURSE ON SMART MACHINES SMARTER FUTURE: ROBOTICS AND IOT course began. Students in their second, third, and fourth years of EEE participated in the SMARTER MACHINES session, learning about robotics and the Internet of Things. The first session covered the fundamentals of components and programming used in robotics and Internet of Things-based household appliances. The second session focused on putting the program into action. Students should then use their practical knowledge in real-world situations. On October 18, 2024, the event came to an end with student comments and assessment

A soft skill program was launched for all final-year CSE and IT students on October 1, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. The Placement and Training Department led the workshop. Ms. Caroline Blessy, the placement coordinator, gave the welcoming speech. Dr. Emmy Prema, the principal, then gave the citation. During the soft skill program, which ran from October 1, 2024, to November 21, 2024, students received instruction in effective communication techniques. The course concluded on October 10, 2024, with an assessment and the collection of student feedback. A value-added course Real Time monitoring Using Wireless sensor Networks: A Hardware Perspective conducted for Third-year ECE students from Oct 3, 2024, to Oct 10, 2024. The objective of this course is to provide proper guidance on working with Real Time monitoring Using Wireless sensor Networks Mr. Praveen Mathias explained the Introduction to ESP-32,examples of ESP-32 Project, basic components, and ESP 32installation and explained how to blink an LED using ESP32 and do a project to blink LED and working with Sensors and Actuators.

A value-added course on Build Your First Robot, From Concept To Creation was conducted for Second-year ECE students from October 03, 2024, to October 10, 2024. The objective of this course is to provide proper guidance on working with Tinkercad and enable students to undertake projects using Tinkercard Application. Mr. Jain Paul described the fundamentals of electronics and went into detail about the sophisticated capabilities of robotics as well as the various kinds of sensors that are employed in them.& Mr. Siva Bala Vignesh described the Arduino block's operation, the Tinkercad scripts for LED blinking, and the embedded system concept.

On October 2, 2024, Bethlahem Institute of Engineering organized a successful beach cleaning campaign in line with the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan mission. Students and volunteers actively participated, collecting 20-25 fully packed bags of waste, which were handed over to Karungal Municipality sanitation workers. In the golden memories of the Onam festival and joy, Bethlahem Institute of Engineering called the Onam celebration on 13th September 2024 to mark unity and equality among the student community. BIOE welcomed Onam with a huge flower carpet made by the students in the courtyard of the campus. The Prime Minister of India officially opened the eighth TechnoXian World Robotics Championship, which took place from August 24 to August 27, 2024. Representatives from several nations, scientists, education experts, and visitors from embassies attended the occasion. Our college students took part in it using BETHBOTS, their creative robot. In View of ‘space day’ a special event was organized for ECE students on 23rd August 2024. A pre-painting competition was also held on 22nd August 2024, with the participation of 10 students. The event began with a warm welcome from the Head of the Department (HoD), followed by a presentation by the Principal, who delivered a PowerPoint presentation on the significance of Space Day, providing students with a clearer understanding of its importance. A movie presentation was screened about the various landmarks in space exploration. The day continued with a Quiz Competition at 3:00 PM, where teams from each class participated and tested their knowledge about space. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Hebron (III ECE), bringing the event to a close. The celebration was both informative and engaging, allowing students to expand their knowledge about space and its contributions to science and technology

Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) is being celebrated every year and coincides with the birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, known to be a man of high integrity. The purpose of Vigilance Awareness Week is to generate awareness in the public at large about the ill effects of corruption. In our college NSS (National Service Scheme) organized the ‘Vigilance Awareness Week 2024’ and conducted Essay writing and Elocution competition (Tamil and English) on 7-11-2024, in various venues from 1.00 PM to 3.00 PM. The Principal Dr. C. Emmy Prema, started the competition. The NSS Program Officer, Mr. S. Japdrew, did all the necessary preparations to ensure the events ran smoothly. The events hosted by IREL (INDIA) LIMITED, MANAVALAKURICHI, were managed by Mr. D. Ginu, AP/Mech Program Coordinator. About 20 students took part in the contest.
