IIC 6.0 ACTIVITIES
INSTITUTION’S INNOVATION DAY CELEBRATION
In our college IIC (Institution's Innovation Council) organized the Institution’s Innovation Day Celebration on 09-10-2023 in auditorium from 1.30 PM to 3.45 PM. The Director Er.T.Isan, Principal Dr.C.Emmy Prema, Chief Guest Dr N.C J.Packia Lekshmi, IIC President Mr. C. M. Edwin Thurai, IIC Convenor Ms. J. Sophia Jone and the event Coordinator Ms K.Anugirba, brightened the dais. Around 500 students participated in the event. The function started with the prayer song which was followed by the Welcome Address delivered by Ms. Maria Jeva the student of Department CSE.
National Entrepreneurship Day
In our college IIC (Institution's Innovation Council) organized the National Entrepreneurship Day Celebration on 09-11-2023 in seminar hall from 9.30 AM to 10.30 AM. Principal Dr. C. Emmy Prema, Chief Guest Mr. J.M Sobin, IIC President Mr. C. M. Edwin Thurai, IIC Convenor Ms. J. Sophia Jone, Programme Coordinator Mr. A. Ajish and Student Coordinator Mr. A. Arun Richard brightened the dais. Around 93 students participated in the event.. The Chief Guest addressed the students and advised them to an individual who starts their own business based on an idea they have or a product they have created while assuming most of the risks and reaping most of the rewards of the business. The session was closed after the Vote of Thanks.
National Education Day
In our college IIC (Institution's Innovation Council) organized the National Education Day Celebration on 10-11-2023 in seminar hall from 9.30 AM to 10.30 AM. The Principal Dr. C. Emmy Prema, Chief Guest Dr. N. R. Geetha, IIC President Mr. C. M. Edwin Thurai, IIC Convenor Ms. J. Sophia Jone, Programme Coordinator Mr. A. L. Prejeesh and Student Coordinator Mr. J. Gershome Thomas brightened the dais. Around 77 students participated in the event. The function started with the prayer song which was followed by the Welcome Address delivered by Mr. J. Gershom Thomas the student of Department MECH. Principal of the College Dr. C. Emmy Prema gave the felicitation address. She also explained about the importance of National Education Day.
National Pollution Control Day
On December 2nd, 2023, the Bethlahem Institute of Engineering Institution's Innovation Council organized the National Pollution Control Day, marked by a cycle rally held within the college campus to raise awareness about pollution. Led by Honorable Dr. Emmy Prema, the Principal of the institute, the event saw enthusiastic participation from students across all departments, facilitated by coordinators Mr. Merlin and Dr. Abina Shiny R S. Participants rode bicycles adorned with pollution-themed placards, emphasizing the importance of environmental consciousness. This initiative underscored the institute's commitment to fostering environmental stewardship among its student body.
National Energy conservation day
On December 14th, 2023, the Bethlahem Institute of Engineering Institution's Innovation Council organized the National Energy Conservation Day Prof.Vinu M,AP/Civil coordinated event at Bethlahem Institute of Engineering, led by Dr. Emmy Prema, the institute's Principal. The event began with a welcome speech from D. Anto Vidson, a fourth-year civil engineering student, followed by a vote of thanks from Ajeera A. II year ME(Structral Engg) were enlightened about the significance of energy conservation in preserving the natural environment, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and cutting down on electricity costs. The message emphasized the importance of incorporating energy-saving practices into daily routines, whether at home, school, college, or the workplace. The motto "For your better tomorrow, Save energy today" underscored the collective responsibility to protect the environment for future generations through sustainable actions.
National Youth Day
On January 16th, 2023, the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) at Bethlahem Institute of Engineering organized National Youth Day, coordinated by Prof. Ajish.M, AP/Mechanical, under the supervision of Dr. Emmy Prema, the institute's Principal. The event was honored by the presence of IIC President Prof.C.M.Edwin Thurai and IIC Convenor Prof. J. Sophia Jone. National Youth Day commemorates the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, a revered 19th-century Indian saint, philosopher, and spiritual leader. The day's purpose is to empower young individuals through education, training programs, and skill development, equipping them to make meaningful contributions to society. Celebrations typically involve seminars, workshops, and cultural activities, fostering a sense of community and providing opportunities for youth to learn and grow personally.
National Startup Day
On January 16th, 2023, the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) at Bethlahem Institute of Engineering orchestrated Startup Day, coordinated by Prof. Sugad Singh M, AP/EEE, under the guidance of Dr. Emmy Prema, the institute's Principal. The event, graced by IIC President Prof.C.M.Edwin Thurai and IIC Convenor Prof. J. Sophia Jone, celebrated the foundation day of Startup India, as declared by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. National Startup Day aims to promote entrepreneurship, foster a thriving startup ecosystem, and shift India towards a nation of job creators. With India ranking third globally in startup ecosystems and witnessing remarkable growth, initiatives like the Startup India scheme have further encouraged entrepreneurial endeavors.
National Science Day
On March 15th, 2023, the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) at Bethlehem Institute of Engineering organized National Science Day, led by Dr. Abina Shiny M, Assistant Professor of Physics, with guidance from Dr. Emmy Prema, the institute's Principal. The event was attended by Vice Principal Dr. Abilash and IIC Convenor Prof. J. Sophia Jone, marking the foundation day of Science Day. National Science Day serves to underscore the significance of science in everyday life and showcase advancements and endeavors in science for the betterment of humanity. It provides a platform to address pertinent issues and introduce new technologies for scientific development.
Exposure and Field Visits for Problem Identification: Aligning with UN SDGs and Exploring Emerging Areas of Technologies
Our institution organized the IIC 7.0 Calendar Activities for the Academic Year 2024-25 on November 21st and 22nd, 2024. The activity, titled "Exposure and Field Visits for Problem Identification: Aligning with UN SDGs and Exploring Emerging Areas of Technologies," consisted of a one-day field visit and a one-day discussion. A total of 55 students and 6 staff members participated in the program On November 21st, 2024, we arrived at the Sun Solar Power Centre, Kanjiracode, Marthandam, Kanyakumari-629155. The objective of the site visit was to explore and understand practical, economically viable, scalable and sustainable energy access models. A talk was delivered by Mrs. P. Sharmini, AP/Civil, on solar panels on the second day. The students gained insights into electrical power generation, transmission and distribution
